Arriving in Glencoe and climbing Buchaille Etive Mor on our first trip to Scotland we immediately fell in love with this amazing place. Almost 7 years on from that first visit, it seems only right that we celebrate our wedding at Kingshouse Hotel in the heart of the place where it all began.
From the winter streets of Edinburgh, the lochs of the Cairngorms, incredible sunrises at the Quirang to the autumn colours of The Highlands, being here in Scotland has been such a part of our story together. We can’t wait to celebrate our marriage with the people with love, in the place that we love.
Please see the below link to book rooms at Kingshouse via our wedding booking - enter the promo code after submitting guest and date details to secure a discount on the night before and night of the wedding. February in Glencoe brings winter crisp air, and ever-changing skies. As we hope to have an outdoor ceremony weather permitting and with plenty to see in the grounds, warm coats and practical footwear options are very welcome.

The scenery becomes increasingly dramatic as you approach the Highlands
A few of our favourite ways to spend time in this part of the Highlands. Many of these spots are suitable for little ones too — prams, short walks, and plenty of space to explore.
Glencoe Lochan - A peaceful woodland walk, especially beautiful in winter. Flat, quiet, and perfect for a slow afternoon.
Glen Etive (the Skyfall road) One of our favourite drives — dramatic, cinematic, and unmistakable. Best enjoyed unhurried, with plenty of stops along the way.
Around Kingshouse - Step straight out into the glen on short walks or the west highland way, with wide views and the comfort of returning to the fire.
Fort William - For supplies, cafés, and a gentle wander. A good option if you’re staying a little longer.
Woodland Golf, Glencoe - A relaxed round of golf surrounded by mountain, an easy way to spend a few hours if the weather’s kind.
Both Nevis Range and Glencoe Mountain Resorts offer gondola and chairlift rides from the base of the mountain. Perfect for soaking in spectacular Highland scenery.
With Glencoe as your base explore west coast beaches, visit Glenfinnan or check out local distilleries. Continue on to the Isle of Mull or the Isle of Skye to continue your adventure.
Sometimes the best plan is no plan at all.
Follow the road, watch the light change, and see where you end up. If you’re exploring by car, these viewpoints are well worth a pause:
Three Sisters of Glencoe viewpoint - One of the most recognisable views in the glen — dramatic in any weather, and especially striking in winter light. Across the road and river you’ll find incredible views of the valley (ask us for the google maps location)
Buchaille Etive Mor & White House viewpoint - An easy stop, and a lovely perspective of Glencoe from a different angle.
We please request no phones or photos during the ceremony but outside of this please capture the day as much as you wish!
